APOCALYPTO 2 (2026)
— First Trailer

Three generations after the catastrophic collapse of the Golden Age of Mayan civilization, the deep jungle has completely reclaimed what was left behind—stone temples swallowed by vines, history erased beneath a suffocating green silence. But that silence is a lie. From the south rises a new and terrifying power: a militarized society hardened by iron discipline, driven by a savage hunger for land, resources, and captives.

Now destiny shifts to K’inich, the grandson of Jaguar Claw, sworn to protect a small tribe hidden from the world. The trailer unleashes a barrage of unforgettable imagery: a frantic deer chase through mist-choked ruins; K’inich sprinting at full speed through lethal stake traps as hooded hunters close in; a breathless climb up a rain-soaked pyramid revealing, on the horizon, a colossal enemy fortress; ritual face paintings as bone flutes scream through the air; and the final, haunting image—a total solar eclipse plunging the jungle into sudden darkness as a voice whispers, “The gods are thirsty.”
The action is savage, primal, and brutally relentless. The stakes are no longer about surviving the fall of an empire, but about resisting a force determined to erase an entire people from existence.

Mel Gibson returns to raw, visceral storytelling, abandoning the spectacle of collapse to focus on the brutal, desperate struggle to rebuild. This is pure survival cinema—relentless, unforgiving, and driven by terrifying antagonists and a hero forced to rely on instinct, speed, and the ever-present fear of history repeating itself. An epic jungle chase, reborn.
