Synopsis
Years have passed since Miguel’s first journey to the Land of the Dead. Now a young, world-renowned musician, Miguel Rivera (Anthony González) lives his dream — sharing his passion for music while honoring the legacy of the Rivera family. With the guiding spirit of Héctor (Gael García Bernal) and the unwavering wisdom of Mamá Imelda (Ana Ofelia Murguía), Miguel continues to bridge the worlds of memory and melody.
But when he discovers a mysterious ancient instrument hidden deep within the Land of the Dead, everything changes. The artifact — said to be tied to the very origin of music itself — unveils a secret long buried within his lineage.
