Devara: Part2 is a direct sequel to Devara: Part1 (2024), directed by Koratala Siva, and produced by N.T.R. Arts & Yuvasudha Arts. The film continues the story of the fictional coastal region Erra Samudram, revolving around the life of Vara – Devara’s son – as he faces a growing conspiracy and uncovers the reason behind his father’s death.

N. T. Rama Rao Jr. (Jr NTR) plays a dual role: Devara and his son Varadha alias Vara – who transforms from a reluctant heir to a determined leader.
Saif Ali Khan reprises his role as the villain Bhaira – a major enemy in the coastal smuggling network.
Janhvi Kapoor returns as Thangam – Vara’s lover who has a larger role in this installment.

Part 2 continues from the open ending of the previous part, focusing on the journey of revenge and discovering the mystery behind Devara’s death. The appearance of new characters and multinational criminal alliances promises to increase the drama more than ever.

🚧 Production & Expected Release Date
Although no official shooting has started yet, Devara: Part 2 is in the scripting stage and is set to go into production in 2026, with Jr NTR completing other projects like War2 and Prashanth Neel’s film. Filming is expected to begin in early 2026, with a target release date of late 2026 – early 2027, possibly reaching the Dussehra festival or winter.
🎶 Soundtrack & Technicals
Anirudh Ravichander returns with a lively score and songs, continuing his successful collaboration from the first part.
On the technical front, the film promises upgraded VFX — especially for the underwater scenes, sea battles and mythical creatures — addressing criticisms of the green screen effects in the first part.
