1. Overview of the film
God Father is the Hindi film version (dubbed version or North Indian market version) of the original Telugu film GodFather directed by Mohan Raja.
The film premiered on October 5, 2022 simultaneously with the Telugu version.
The key cast includes: Chiranjeevi as Brahma Teja / Abraham Qureshi, Salman Khan as Masoom Bhai, along with Nayanthara, Satya Dev, Puri Jagannadh and many more.
The background music and songs are composed by S. Thaman, and the cinematography is by Nirav Shah.
2. Plot & Theme
The film opens with the death of Chief Minister PKR (Padmakanth Reddy) — the head of the ruling Jana Jagruti Party (JJP). His passing leaves a power vacuum and sparks an underground war between factions within the party as well as the family.
Jaidev (PKR’s daughter’s husband), who was previously involved in drug activities, has ambitions to contest for the Chief Ministership.
Brahma Teja (Chiranjeevi) — PKR’s secret son — whose background is unknown to many in politics and the public — steps into the power play to stop Jaidev’s plot.
Incidents related to plots to overthrow the government, bribery, betrayal, and secrets of identity are revealed one by one. The two factions, intellectual and violent, are intertwined in the struggle for power.
The film raises many questions about morality, justice and the role of power in society – when the boundaries between good and evil become blurred.

3. Performance and Highlights
Chiranjeevi plays the role of Brahma very well – a mysterious, powerful character with psychological depth.
Salman Khan appears as Masoom Bhai – a cameo role but leaves a strong impression.
Nayanthara as Sathyapriya and Satya Dev as Jaidev also play important roles, creating personal and emotional conflicts in the context of politics and power.
The background music, lighting and editing create a tense, gloomy atmosphere that contributes to the appeal of the action-political genre.

4. Reviews & Influences
The film received average to positive reviews, with many compliments for Chiranjeevi and his strong handling of the political storyline.
However, some critics said that the remake was still less fresh than the original and at times fell into the rut of a purely political film.
In terms of revenue, the film had an impressive start but did not really explode.
God Father (Hindi) helped spread the image of the South Indian version to North Indian audiences, bringing the Southern political film to a wider market.
