The story begins with Hotel Transylvania thriving under the management of Mavis and Johnny. The hotel has become a popular destination for both monsters and humans, as they’ve managed to connect both worlds. However, Dracula, now semi-retired, feels a sense of restlessness. With his daughter and son-in-law running things smoothly, Dracula begins to wonder if his best days are behind him. He misses the thrill of being in charge and yearns for a new adventure.

Meanwhile, an ancient invitation arrives at the hotel, summoning all the great monster leaders to a legendary and secret Monster Summit held only once a century. The summit is said to be a gathering of the most powerful monsters to discuss the future of the monster world.
