Indian 3 (2025): “War Mode” – A satisfying conclusion to the fighting legend
Overview
Indian 3, also branded as Indian 3: War Mode, is a direct sequel to Indian 2 (2024), a dramatic action-drama film of Tamil cinema. The film is directed and co-written by S. Shankar, with the participation of writers B. Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar. This is a project co-produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, with an estimated budget of ₹150 crore.

Production & Release Schedule
Initially, Indian2 and Indian3 were shot in parallel, due to the large volume of the film and the content being over 6 hours long, the production team decided to split it into two separate parts. It is revealed that about 80% of the scenes of Indian3 have been shot and only about 25 days are needed to complete the remaining parts. After receiving negative feedback from Indian2, director Shankar reshot many scenes to improve the final quality of the third part.
As for the release date, there are different information: some sources say the film will be released in mid-2025 (April–June)
Pratidin, while others aim for January 2025. However, due to delays and post-production improvements, the latest estimate has been moved to late 2025, specifically December 2025.
A return for passion
Although Indian2 was considered a failure both in terms of revenue and quality, director Shankar and Kamal Haasan have affirmed their determination to complete the sequel with all their heart—they are willing to forgo compensation to restore the status of this sports and patriotic series.
