Loki: Twilight of Brothers (2026) — When the brothers parted ways
Introduction
Loki: Twilight of Brothers is a fantasy/fan concept set in the Loki extended universe and Norse mythology, telling the story of the confrontation between two brothers (Thor and Loki) in a fateful change, when the gods are drawn into the chaos of power, betrayal, and choice. Although there has been no confirmation from Marvel or any platform, the film is expected to blend action – psychological – drama elements and expand the story of Loki after the events in MCU.
Setting and plot
Loki, after experiencing many events in the timeline and multiverse, returns to Asgard – where Thor is in a power crisis.
Thor, with the ambition to protect Asgard and related worlds, gradually becomes harsh, going against his dignity.
Loki is forced to choose between standing with his brother to maintain divine order or standing against him to defend truth and justice.
The tension between the two brothers is further complicated when secrets about their origins, oaths and ancient curses are revealed — including the appearance of spirits, ancient magic and other gods.
The film is not only a sword fight but also Loki’s inner journey — between “brother” and “power”, between good and right.
The connection to Twilight of the Gods and Loki today
Audiences may confuse “Twilight of Brothers” with Twilight of the Gods — an adult animated series based on Norse mythology, co-produced by Zack Snyder, released in 2024.
In Twilight of the Gods, Loki is voiced by Paterson Joseph and appears as a key character in the mythological plot torn between the gods. So Loki: Twilight of Brothers, if it exists, could be a reimagining of Twilight of the Gods but with a deeper focus on the relationship between Loki and Thor — like a “fan-written” version of the MCU.
