Sardar2 is the sequel to the hit Tamil spy-action film Sardar (2022), directed by P.S. Mithran. The script is written by a team of writers including Rathna Kumar, Ashameera Aiyappan, Vignesh Muniyandi and Nambi
The film sees Karthi reprising his role as two characters – “Sardar Chandrabose” and his son/bodyguard “Vijay Prakash”. The cast includes S.J.Suryah (as the villain BlackDagger), Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, Rajisha Vijayan and many more

“Prologue” is a short 2–3 minute introductory trailer that reveals the plot, setting and main characters. This segment was first released globally on 31st March 2025, with multi-language versions, including Tamil and Hindi.
