Years after the harrowing plane crash that left him stranded among wolves and snow, John Ottway (Liam Neeson) has vanished from the world that once knew his name. Officially declared dead, he has instead chosen exile — living off-grid in the frozen north, haunted by the ghosts of the men he could not save and the beast he faced in the storm. But the wilderness never forgets… and it never forgives.
When a remote drilling outpost in northern Alaska goes dark after reporting a series of brutal, coordinated attacks, a private rescue unit is dispatched into the white abyss. Leading the team is ex-military tracker Cole Mercer (Boyd Holbrook), a man who believes predators can be studied, mapped, and eliminated. What they find instead are shredded camps, blood carved into the snow, and something far worse than instinct. These wolves are not simply hunting — they are evolving.
Drawn back into the nightmare he barely survived, Ottway is forced to guide the team across a landscape of endless frost and suffocating storms. But this time, the pack has changed. Larger. Smarter. Relentless. At its center stands an enormous alpha — scarred, calculating, almost mythic — a creature that seems to recognize Ottway as unfinished business.
As temperatures plummet and ammunition runs dry, the survivors begin to fracture. Nature closes in from every side. The wind howls like a warning. And beneath the northern lights, man and beast circle each other once more — not in chaos, but in strategy.
Florence Pugh delivers a fierce performance as Dr. Lena Volkov, a wildlife behaviorist who begins to suspect that human intrusion has triggered something ancient within the pack — a territorial intelligence shaped by years of encroachment and bloodshed. What begins as a rescue mission descends into a primal reckoning, where the line between hunter and hunted dissolves into blowing snow.
