⭐ The Legend’s Unexpected Return
After the legacy success of Logan (2017), it seemed that Hugh Jackman had truly ended the journey of the werewolf. However, WOLVERINE 2 appears as a final goodbye, more intense, more tragic and also more desperate.
The film opens in a dark future: Logan is the last mutant on Earth. Japan legalizes the hunting and destruction of mutants after a series of political and social events. In a world where hope has become a luxury, X-23 (Dafne Keen) is now 21 years old, mature, cold and leading the underground resistance.
⚔️ An Ancient Enemy Rises
From the shadows of history, the Silver Samurai returns – no longer a mere metal warrior, but now enhanced by a terrifying energy source:
👉 a piece of adamantium bone from Logan’s own skeleton.
The legend is stripped away to nourish a new monster. The Samurai’s existence is now not just a threat, but a symbol of how humans have robbed mutants of everything – including their flesh and memories.
🔥 The unspoken father-daughter conflict of blood
Between Logan and Laura (X-23) is a complicated bond. No longer the youthful chaos, Laura is now a leader, but there is still pain in her eyes:
she is becoming the weapon Logan always feared she would become.
The film gives them one last chance to understand each other, protect each other, and then… lose each other.
🌸 The Final Battle: Shinkansen, Cherry Blossoms and Blood
The climax of the film is a deadly battle on the roof of the Shinkansen train rushing at 300 km/h, in the middle of a sea of cherry blossoms torn apart by the wind.
Petals and blood blend together. Iron and bones collide. The beast and the thousand-year-old warrior swing the decisive slash.
The scene is considered one of the most beautiful and tragic scenes in the entire X-Men franchise.

Trailer description:
The frame opens with the sound of wind howling through the fallen cherry blossom branches.
Logan walks through the ruins of Tokyo, his beard silver, his breathing heavy.
Laura appears in the darkness, her claws out, her eyes red: “We’re all that’s left.”
Silver Samurai activates his new armor, the blade glowing with energy from Logan’s bones.
The soundtrack speeds up, the Shinkansen passes by, and the father and son jump onto the roof of the train.
One final slow-motion shot: Logan embraces Laura amid a storm of swords.
Ending with the words:
“THE BEAST TEACHES THE LITTLE ONE HOW TO DIE.”

Verdict: 9.9/10 – The beast teaches the child how to die.
A dark, brutal, yet breathtakingly beautiful epic.
